Project Architect – Data Centers | Semiconductor | Aerospace

As a Project Architect at HDR, you won’t just be drawing plans — you’ll be shaping some of today’s most innovative and high-performance environments, from advanced data centers and semiconductor facilities to aerospace projects that push the boundaries of design and technology.

What You’ll Do:

Lead & Inspire: Take charge of a multidiscipline team, guiding the layout, detailing, and overall design process across multiple project phases.

Drive

Collaboration:

Independently coordinate with engineers, designers, and consultants to ensure every detail comes together seamlessly.

Be the Client Partner: Establish and lead client and stakeholder meetings, while engaging with governing agencies to ensure compliance and smooth approvals.

Hands-On Leadership: Conduct on-site work sessions with project managers and discipline leads to keep progress moving.

Deliver Excellence: Manage workloads, review architectural documents, and resolve conflicts across disciplines to keep projects on schedule and on point.

Elevate Quality: Perform QA/QC reviews, write and edit specifications, and ensure the technical integrity of every deliverable.

Adapt & Solve: Coordinate addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders — integrating them effectively into project documents.

Dual Leadership: Step into project leadership or construction contract administration roles as needed, demonstrating both design and management excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Architecture
  • Experience in the areas of data centers, semiconductor or aerospace facility design
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch Up and 3-D Studio Max
  • Rhino and Grasshopper experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
  • A minimum of 5 years experience
  • Registered Architect
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
  • Must have experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
