Responsibilities- Perform complete evaluations on patients of all ages
- Order and interpret lab work, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
- Establish working diagnoses and develop treatment plans in collaboration with urologists
- Implement therapeutic interventions and provide appropriate follow-up care
- Refer to the supervising urologist or specialists as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Sees new and follow-up patients and provides problem-oriented intervention for their urological conditions
- Assists in care, treatment, and follow-up as needed
- Perform and/or assists in-office procedures, including transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) volume studies, cystoscopies, post-void residual (PVRs) evaluations, difficult catheterizations, post-op voiding trials, and other necessary procedures
- Orders and interprets lab, x-ray, special studies, and clinical procedures, and provides appropriate care and follow-up
- Provides phone/video consultation for patient complaints and prescription refills
- Performs on-call duties for urology
- Evaluates, screens, and counsels patients on health maintenance and promotes utilization of community resources
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or PA degree from an accredited program
- Active and valid state medical license
- DEA/DPS license
- Urology experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
