Overview
The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Anesthesiologist for a full-time clinical position at a university-affiliated teaching facility in metropolitan Phoenix. This state-designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and ABA-verified Burn Center offers a dynamic environment for clinical practice and teaching, with opportunities for academic appointment.
Clinical Practice OverviewManage anesthesia for a wide range of surgeries:
Labor & Delivery, Neonatal and general pediatric surgery, general surgery, robotic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, plastic surgery, burn treatment, level 1 trauma, orthopedics, podiatric surgery, special procedures outside the OR, utilize TEE equipment for perioperative and critical care patients. Approximately 11,000 anesthesia encounters per year.
In-house call 4-5 times per month.

Key Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia care for high-acuity adult and pediatric patients.
- Supervise and teach residents in emergency medicine and surgery, CRNAs, student nurse anesthetists, and medical students.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-volume, high-complexity setting.
Board Certified/Eligible in Anesthesiology. Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Interest in academic medicine and teaching.
