As a Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in providing top-tier medical services to our clients. You will have the chance to work alongside experienced medical professionals, contribute to patient care, and develop your skills in a supportive environment.

• Provide comprehensive surgical care in cardiothoracic procedures
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in patient consultations and pre-operative assessments
• Conduct surgeries and manage post-operative care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Engage in continuous education and training to enhance surgical skills
• Assist in the development of patient care protocols
• Support the recruitment and staffing efforts of the organization

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Knowledge of current medical practices and technologies
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting

Level I Trauma

Schedule:

24-hour call shifts

Facility has 2 CVORs, 20 CVICU beds

Required Procedures: CABG, valve surgery (AVR, MVR, TAVR), ECMO, emergent post-PCI, aortic dissections, chest exploration/re-entry/post-operative bleeding management, etc.

Will work closely with the ICU team, cardiology, interventional cardiology, anesthesia, APPs, perfusionists, and OR staff

EMR:
Cerner and iMed

Must be board-certified
