Great Hearts schools view mathematics as an essential element of a student’s classical education. In Algebra, students develop the skills to think abstractly and logically as they explore the structure of mathematical relationships. Through solving equations, analyzing functions, and interpreting patterns, students learn to apply algebraic reasoning to a variety of real‑world and theoretical problems. The course emphasizes clarity of thought, precision, and critical thinking, encouraging students to engage in meaningful discussion and discovery as they uncover the foundational principles that support higher‑level mathematics.
