The Wilson School District is seeking a highly qualified and certified 2nd Grade Teacher for the school year. We encourage college graduates, Student Teachers, and Teacher Interns to apply. We offer a competitive salary.
The starting salary ranges from $57,500.00 to $58,500.00 annually, including Classroom Site Fund/Prop 301 ($7,000). Teachers with up to 10 years of experience can earn additional salary based on education level: BA+15hrs ($1,140), BA+30hrs ($2,280), BA+45/MA ($3,420). Additional payments include $3,000 for National Board Certification, $1,500 for BLE, $1,000 for ESL, and $500 for Prov ESL. Performance pay can reach up to $3,000.
We also offer stipends for hard-to-fill positions: $2,000 for Special Ed, $1,500 for Math, $1,500 for Science, and $1,000 for Speech/Language Arts. Teachers are eligible for only one stipend per position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement district’s educational philosophy and goals.
- Guide learning towards curriculum objectives and communicate these to students.
- Assess student performance and refer students for additional help if needed.
- Plan study programs based on student needs.
- Use appropriate instructional methods and materials.
- Evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Make promotion or retention decisions.
- Create a conducive learning environment and manage student conduct.
- Supervise students during recess and other periods.
- Enforce school rules and policies.
- Participate in faculty and district meetings and committees.
- Collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Assist in selecting instructional materials.
- Build cooperative community relations.
- Prepare required reports and perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Appropriate teaching certificate issued by the State of Arizona.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of classroom management and student development activities.
- Effective record-keeping and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to technology, and promote a positive environment.
