Responsibilities:

• Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to explore various genres of literature and express themselves through writing.

• Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs and interests of high school students.

• Utilize clear and effective communication to teach complex literary concepts and writing techniques.

• Incorporate current research-based pedagogical strategies and technology to enhance learning and student engagement.

• Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining detailed academic records in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

• Establish effective communication channels with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and foster a supportive learning community.

Requirements /

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in English, Education with a focus on English, or a related field.

• Valid state teaching certificate and fingerprint clearance card.

• SEI Endorsement and appropriate certification for high school English instruction.

• Proven expertise in English literature and language arts with a strong passion for teaching and student development.

• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaborative educational practice.

Salary: $46,700 to $80,904, based on education and experience, with a comprehensive benefits package.
