Primary Lead Teacher (Mandarin, Spanish, or English)
Amici Trilingual Montessori is the only Trilingual Montessori in Arizona. We are seeking a Montessori Lead Teacher who is a native Mandarin, Spanish, or English speaker and a primary teacher who is patient, compassionate, and has a love for early childhood development. The teacher is required to develop and implement Montessori primary curriculum, create a supportive environment, and partner with families.
Responsibilities- Design and develop the prepared environment implementing the Montessori primary curriculum according to school specifications.
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each child.
- Provide one‑on‑one or group lessons and assist primary students who struggle with concepts.
- Conduct observations and assessments to determine academic needs and offer a rich, challenging environment.
- Utilize planning time to meet parents, create lesson plans, change materials, observe after school, and discuss best practices with other primary leads.
- Ensure children transition successfully to first grade by the time they leave Integrated Kindergarten.
- Communicate effectively with parents via interactions, Procare updates, and conferences.
- Use authentic, patient language when communicating with children.
- Promote security and trust through activities and practical life skills.
- Respond calmly to distressed children and comfort them immediately.
- Follow the children and classroom energy rather than a strict schedule.
- Engage primary during recess, ensuring safe, age‑appropriate activities.
- Maintain a positive, professional, kind and inclusive work environment.
- Guide assistant teachers in primary development and collaboration with parents.
- Host weekly team meetings covering updates, material discussion, and training.
- Act as a resource for the Primary Community.
- Pursue continuous learning through professional development.
- AMS or AMI Primary Certified (required).
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with primary aged children (2.5‑6 years).
- Strong communication skills with students, families, faculty, and staff.
- Willingness to submit to a background check.
- Ability to commit to the position for a minimum of three years.
