Purpose Within The Organization
To assist Marketing Event Planners with traditional enrollment initiatives through event logistics.
ResponsibilitiesStudents will have a large amount of responsibility and ownership organizing, facilitating, executing, communicating, and staffing a wide variety of event logistics. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to event research, staffing, budget tracking entries, and general administrative support. This job is 70% in the office and 30% in the field, which may require personal transportation and/or the need to work non-traditional hours.
- Staffs events at a lead position
- Preforms beginning, middle and post event tasks
- Good attention to detail and analytical skills
- Extremely detail oriented, and excellent written communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, cope with changing priorities and complete projects with competing deadlines
- Experience working on multiple projects at once
- Demonstrated ability to maintain poise under stress and to respond to requests quickly and logically
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Builds and maintains a variety of event materials and spreadsheets
- Updates training materials
- Attention to detail and reliability are a must
- High level of confidence and leadership to assume lead roles
- Flexible schedule, including evening and weekend availability
- Must be able to commit to working the maximum allotted hours
- Ability to learn programs quickly (i.e., Excel, CRM, Visio, Prezi, etc.)
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbally)
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs is preferred
- Must be able to work summers

- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
