** Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/

Essential Functions:

*** Assist in weekly cage cleaning
* Weigh rats weekly/maintain weight log
* Be present for testing sessions Monday – Saturday, 11:00 – 3:00 as needed Maintain testing log and video database
* Be present for weekly meet ups with vivarium leadership team
* Be present for weekly lab meeting with entire team
* Monitor/Communicate with vivarium coordinator regarding PPE/food/bedding orders
** Equipment Use and Responsibility
*** Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient typing skills.
* Must be comfortable working in a professional environment with all levels of staff and faculty.
* Must be service oriented.
* Must be comfortable with GCU’s campus and departments to direct guests, students and staff.
* Must have prior computer knowledge and be able to copy, scan and fax documents.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Self-motivated with a desire to learn and serve

** Experience/ Education
** Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
