STEM Academic Specialist (Grades 6–12)
We're looking for a part-time STEM Academic Specialist to support middle and high school students in math and science. You'll do more than reteach content. You'll find out why a student is stuck, whether that's a conceptual gap, a processing difference, or an executive function issue showing up as a "math problem." Then you'll work with the rest of our team to address it.
Every session is one-on-one and lasts at least an hour, so you'll have time to do real work with each student, not 30-minute drop-ins. You'll help set your own part-time schedule, with sessions at our center, on school campuses, and in students' homes. Pay is $35-$40/hour.
You'll join a collaborative team of reading, executive function, and speech specialists who share what they know, so you'll grow well beyond your own subject. And you'll work for leadership that runs the business transparently and puts students at the center of every decision.
