Substitute Teacher

Job Description

The Substitute Teacher provides continuity of instruction and student supervision when the regular classroom teacher is absent. This role delivers lessons, supports assignments, manages classroom behavior, tracks attendance, and uses educational technology to maintain a productive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned lessons and instructional activities.
• Manage classroom routines and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Supervise students during classroom activities and transitions.
• Track and record student attendance.
• Provide support with assignments and classroom tasks.
• Manage student behavior using appropriate classroom strategies.
• Use classroom technology to support instruction and learning activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Substitute teaching permit or license.
• Classroom management skills.
• Lesson planning experience.
• Instructional delivery skills.
• Educational technology proficiency.
• Behavior management skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Adaptability in changing classroom environments.
