Generator Technician – Field Service Power Generation TechnicianSeeking an experienced Generator Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and start‑up commissioning on power‑generation equipment. This role is hands‑on in the field and supports overall service operations through accurate documentation, customer interaction, and technical expertise.
Qualifications- 3+ years generator technician experience
- HS diploma required; technical training preferred
- Strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and progress through skill levels
- Troubleshoot and repair generators (diesel, gas, standby)
- Perform PMs, load‑bank testing, and startup commissioning
- Provide in‑person and field technical support
- Diagnose electrical/mechanical issues and follow work instructions
- Document all work clearly and accurately
- Travel to customer sites; respond to emergency calls as needed
- Maintain clean driving record and provide own basic tools
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
