Role Snapshot:

As an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator
, you will play a crucial role in minimizing workplace accidents and ensuring a healthy environment for all employees, aligning operational practices with environmental sustainability goals.

Furthermore, you will hold the following responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Safety Programs

  • Create and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

🔹
Training and Education

  • Conduct training sessions for employees on health and safety practices, emergency response, and hazardous material handling.

🔹
Inspections and Audits

  • Perform regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.

🔹
Incident Reporting

  • Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

🔹
Regulatory Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant health and safety regulations, keeping up to date with changes in laws and advising management accordingly.
  • Conduct facility safety inspections, Manage environmental and waste compliance.

Documentation

  • Maintain records of safety training, incidents, and compliance audits, and generate health and safety assessment reports.

The ideal person for this role would have broad experience and/or knowledge in several areas:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred occupational safety and health, or environmental science.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA Safety Certificate required, and Certified Safety Professional (CSP), EHS, ISO, or similar preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Environmental Health and Safety roles, understanding of U.S. safety/environmental laws.
  • Knowledge of Regulations:
    Strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective training and reporting.
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Ability to assess risks and develop effective safety protocols.
  • Keen attention to details: A meticulous approach to identifying hazards and ensuring compliance.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

❇ While not essential, familiarity with Korean business culture and ability to communicate in Korean will be highly regarded.
