Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer / Senior Project Manager for our Phoenix, AZ office. This position will lead and deliver water, wastewater, and groundwater projects in the State of Arizona, handling the development and management of all aspects of municipal water and wastewater utility system project planning, design, and services during construction.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Leading teams in the delivery of water/wastewater projects.
  • Participation in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market‑specific papers and presentations.
  • Work in collaboration with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD) in producing plans and specifications.
  • Assisting in marketing business opportunities with key clients and developing responses to RFPs/RFQs.
  • Providing marketing and support during the procurement and execution of projects.
  • Developing and maintaining long‑term relationships with clients.
  • Consistently managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Desire and ability to manage and mentor staff.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in either Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
  • Arizona network of water/wastewater professionals/contacts.
  • Regional and technical expertise in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Active participation in professional organizations.
  • Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Strong client relationship skills.
  • Excellent design team leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science (MS) degree.

Stanley’s Approach to Flexibility

Some members choose to work out of their local office full‑time.
