Job Overview

Jensen Hughes has a career opening for an Engineering Project Manager in our Phoenix, Arizona office. We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety fire protection design services for the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. We are seeking a qualified individual that will be dedicated to this project to provide oversight and coordination of design deliverables and inspection activities to ensure all schedule milestones are met.

Regular client interface to provide updates on company performance, regulation of client driven schedule changes, and coordination with all design team members are the primary responsibilities of this position.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Engineering-based Project Management that includes management of a combination of Code Consulting, Performance-Based Design, and Fire Protection System Design.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and direct engineering activities including the management and implementation of a wide variety of engineering design and consulting tasks.
• Oversee staff providing:
• Building and fire code reviews and analyses
• Design of fire protection systems including fire alarm, sprinkler, and special hazard systems.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to the client.

• 8+ years of Project Management experience in code consulting, design of fire suppression and alarm systems, and/or developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer preferred.
• Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies and have good communication and negotiating skills.
