Are you ready to help us make the future? Be part of a team that designs, develops, and executes tests and test solutions for all products under the Engines and Power Systems umbrella. You will play a significant role among a group of engineers and technicians in the development and certification of auxiliary power units (APUs), power systems, and propulsion engines (fan and shaft power).
This team actively engages in Engineering Test Transformation, redefining how test is done at E&PS to ensure customers obtain the data they need the first time.
- Learn new engine models while taking an increasingly independent role in preparation, execution, and troubleshooting of development and certification tests, supporting Production and Overhaul (FAA Safety Sensitive)
- Provide constructive feedback on test plans and test approaches
- Model safety, HOS, behaviors, and continuous improvement
- Apply knowledge of complex mechanical product test methods to learn engine models, facility systems, and test equipment
- Support the team in establishing solutions to meet innovative test solutions for new and existing products
- Work in a lab environment, occasionally lifting up to 35 lbs (single carry) and working with large mechanical test equipment and systems, including powered industrial vehicles
- Work off‑shift occasionally (once sufficiently trained)
- Work outdoors
- Work occasional overtime (20% is not unusual)
- Travel occasionally

QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of directly related experience as a Turbine Engine Test Technician or 5 years of experience testing complex mechanical systems
- Be able to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, schematics
- Must be able to communicate in English (written, oral, reading) at a functional level to interact with engineering and technical teams
- The ability to work in a lab environment, occasionally lifting up to 35 lbs and working with large mechanical test equipment and systems including powered industrial vehicles
- The ability to work off‑shift occasionally (once sufficiently trained)
- The ability to work outdoors
- The ability to work occasional overtime (20% is not unusual)
- The ability to travel occasionally
- Direct experience leading safety initiatives and data‑driven continuous improvement
- Direct experience executing complex and/or unique gas turbine engine tests independently
- Direct experience leading change efforts that benefit the team and other test stakeholders while improving teamwork
- Strong troubleshooting skills with complex, integrated mechanical systems, emphasizing root‑cause identification and corrective action
- Self‑motivated and independent, driving team, project, and organization vision
- Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions amid ambiguity and complexity
- Relevant advanced education (or equivalent military experience) supporting work in Engines & Power Systems (e.g., A&P school/license)
