Brown and Caldwell (BC) has an exciting opportunity for a Civil or Environmental Engineer experienced in planning, permitting, civil site grading, drainage analysis, and design of water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Prepare reports, memos, and designs for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Site civil design to include grading, drainage analysis, and design for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Serve as task leader, deputy project manager on water and wastewater planning and design projects.
  • Organize and facilitate team meetings.
  • Support design development from concept through final design, including review of work done by others such as reports, memos, and pilot studies to determine applicability for system improvements.
  • Participate in client and internal meetings to support and advance project work.
  • Serve as engineer of record for final deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years of increasingly responsible experience in municipal civil engineering with focus in the municipal sector.
  • Strong understanding of civil site design, water/wastewater infrastructure systems including pumping, treatment, and conveyance.
  • Working knowledge of environmental laws such as the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act and related permitting frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability and desire to work on multiple concurrent projects in a team environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with remote virtual project teams.
  • Periodic travel to Southern Utah, Arizona, or New Mexico (up to once per month).
  • Desire to work in challenging remote outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • P.E. license preferred.
Salary Range

Location A: $88,000 - $120,000
