Controls and Automation Engineer

Overview

From day 1, you'll be a key member of the engineering team delivering new product and process innovations. You will be helping seek the most difficult automation challenges to bringing our “Factory of the Future” vision to life. Controls engineers at P&G are the glue that help build the digital landscape for all production equipment and help drive Industry 4.0 emerging technologies, digital manufacturing, and future automation trends, including best in class online and offline quality inspection systems to enable superior innovation and products for the consumers.

IVORYDALE INNOVATION CENTER

As an IC&A Engineer, you will contribute to automation solutions for production equipment, digital manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

• Own delivery of changes and results from day one.
• Contribute to the engineering team’s efforts on new product and process innovations.
• Collaborate across global engineering organizations and production sites to support business needs.

• Process and/or Machine Control experience
• Proven expertise with sensors, motors, PLCs, and industrial automation
• Robotics, machine vision, and/or networking skills are a plus
• Programming knowledge and experience desired (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, Java, C#, etc.)
• Strong technical background and curiosity to solve hard problems; passion for integrating technologies to enable Digital Manufacturing

Ability to quickly embrace and adapt to changes in project scope, schedule, and cost.

• BS/MS Electrical, Mechanical, or Electrical degrees are preferred
• These positions are entry-level with up to 4 years of work experience
• Strong leadership, business problem definition, and priority-setting skills
• Ability to communicate insights and collaborate across teams and organizations

• Experience with industrial PLCs, especially Rockwell Control Logix
• Experience with computer and industrial networks
