TSMC Arizona is looking for a Hookup Safety Engineer to join our F21 FAB project located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. As a Safety Engineer, you will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment within semiconductor facilities. This position focuses on monitoring safety practices, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and providing initial risk assessments.

• Conduct safety inspections in cleanroom environments and other semiconductor work spaces.
• Enforcing compliance with all applicable rules, regulations and standards, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI requirements, as well as company safety policies and requirements.
• Perform hazard identification, safety inspections, training, and compliance monitoring during equipment installation and construction activities.
• Ensure industrial hygiene principles are upheld in day-to-day operations.
• Implement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols and compliance across all contractor and subcontractor activities on site.
• Conduct and implement job‑specific safety plan, JSAs, risk assessments and reports to identify potential hazards.
• Perform regular site inspections and audits to identify and address unsafe conditions and practices.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and specialized safety management software for documentation and scheduling tasks.
• Support the development and implementation of safety training sessions for employees.

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of safety‑related experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI standards, principles of industrial hygiene and construction safety practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software tools.
• Comfortable working in clean rooms and wearing specialized PPE when necessary.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Willingness to support international projects, which may include traveling overseas for extended periods (period depends on business need) to assist team efforts.

• Valid OSHA #30
• Preferred First Aid/CPR/AED
• Preferred LOTO

• Capable of lifting materials, working on ladders/lifts, and standing for long periods of time.
• May spend extended hours working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and in awkward body positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain.
• Required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and adjust heavy objects.
• Position will come in contact with sharp, hot, and cold equipment and parts.
• Must be medically qualified to wear a personal respirator.
• Exposure to smells associated with industrial chemical operations and sounds of powered tools and industrial equipment.

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
