- Investigate failure cause & origin in building systems (steel, concrete, masonry, wood, roofing, envelopes)
- Conduct fieldwork to document damage from natural and human‑induced events (flood, wind, fire, earthquakes, design/construction defects)
- Analyze design drawings, building codes, structural behavior, and construction practices
- Produce scope‑of‑repair recommendations and detailed technical reports
- Support litigation efforts, including Expert Testimony (depositions, trials, mediation, arbitration)
- B.S. in Civil or Architectural Engineering (ABET‑accredited)
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio (additional state registrations preferred)
- Proficient in ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS codes and standards
