This position is located at an on‑site customer location in Northern Phoenix / Anthem. The role provides specialized transportation and disposal services to clients, including manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities- Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
- Manifest, package, respond to spills, conduct clean‑up and remedial activities, label, load, off‑load, and coordinate transportation.
- Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems.>
- Comply with all safety, health, and procedural requirements in accordance with VES‑TS policies.
- Familiarize with U.S. Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and VES‑TS regulations required for documenting paperwork and expediting hazardous waste disposal.
- Operate and maintain equipment efficiently and effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience / Background:
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
- Preferable to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline.
- Strong team player.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective time‑management and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to follow through on assignments.
- 40‑hour HAZWOPER Certification.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous (H) endorsement.
