Job DescriptionHoneywell has a rich history of pioneering advancements in airborne weather radar & sensing technology, including the first commercial weather radar with pulse compression technology, the first predictive windshear alerting weather radar, and the first turbulence detection weather radar. Our airborne weather radar systems utilize volumetric 3‑D scanning & pulse compression technologies to provide vastly improved weather detection and predictive hazard warnings.
They allow pilots to visualize storm structure and intensity in three dimensions, and feature automated weather detection capabilities that autonomously identify and analyze weather patterns.
Designed to seamlessly integrate with existing avionics and flight management systems, our radar technologies facilitate streamlined operations, data sharing, and a comprehensive approach to flight safety and situational awareness.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in the design, testing, and validation of product/processes for advanced radar products from prototype to market.
- Identify opportunities and propose technical improvements.
- Execute and plan project subtasks (designing, testing, etc.).
- Refine engineering designs by drafting and releasing drawing changes in Team Center.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose product performance issues.
- Establish and follow methodologies that push forward new concepts or refine existing concepts.
- Suggest enhancements to advance projects and products.
- Assist in product and process certification for customer acceptance.
- Collaborate with obsolescence team to identify and qualify alternate parts and keep our products at the cutting edge of technology.
- Communicate non‑compliance incidents and results of internal project audits to stakeholders.
- Guide engineers, technicians, and associates to ensure project and product adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Consult with vendors and suppliers to ensure product and project compliance.
- YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Minimum of 4‑5 years of experience in hardware engineering.
- WE VALUE
- Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Deep understanding of a variety of hardware engineering principles, methodologies, and specifications.
- Experience in aerospace, avionics, radar, RF, or related fields is of value.
- Capability to complete demanding assignments by applying advanced hardware engineering methods and tools.
- Ability to influence cross‑functional teams to deliver optimal solutions.
- Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balance program demands.
- Capability to follow guidelines and ensure efficiency on given project tasks.
