Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Industrial Water & Wastewater, Market Leader to help grow our water and wastewater engineering practices, based out of our Phoenix, AZ, office, with the opportunity for remote or hybrid scheduling from within the state of Arizona. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a leadership team actively engaged in growing the water business s position will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for achieving significant water market share for Geosyntec in the Southwest United States, with an emphasis on Water for Mining, but also pursuing work in the semi‑conductor, data center, and municipal markets.

In Mining, the selected individual will work with leading experts with numerous business and professional contacts who are currently developing mining opportunities throughout the mine project lifecycle, including initial exploration, mine development, operations, expansions, and closure. A key differentiator for Geosyntec is the ability to support mining clients on the entire water cycle, from supply and potential groundwater inflows to reuse, treatment, and discharge.

The position will also support business growth associated with complex industrial wastewater projects across the country, including positioning for and expanding capabilities for delivering full‑service projects. This position is well‑suited for a talented, experienced individual who is interested in winning and leading innovative and challenging water and wastewater projects, and in working with a dedicated team of peers to transform a business.

We operate under a sell‑manage‑do culture, and so we expect all employees work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You will be responsible for developing a market strategy for the water for mining market and organizing and leading staff to advance that strategy.

You will also be asked to support market development in other sectors and to serve as project director for large and/or high risk projects. As a Senior Professional, you will also be expected to take on staff leadership and mentoring roles.

Some of the key responsibilities for this client‑facing position include:

• Strategic business planning to segment and target specific clients for projects such as water supply, water treatment, and water re‑use; with an emphasis on the mining market but inclusive of other opportunities;
• Engagement with project and operations staff to align Geosyntec’s full service delivery capabilities with the market demands for water services.
• Participation in the development and implementation of the firm’s strategic plan.
