Project Engineer – Aerospace Hardware Electronics

Real Time Consulting LLC (RTC) invites you to apply for the Project Engineer – Aerospace Hardware Electronics role.

Immediate need for a top‑performing Project Engineer to innovate and create hardware electronics for cutting‑edge avionics. The role requires leading avionics‑based product designs and managing a cross‑functional team.

As a leader of the Hardware development team, you will work closely with Technical Engineers, Project Engineers from other groups, and Program Managers, coordinating program cost, schedule, and technical issues. You will prioritize work packages, define design goals and objectives, and oversee the creation of avionics hardware with embedded software, coordinating efforts among Software, Electrical, Mechanical, FPGA/ASIC, Test organizations, and customer programs.

• Project planning, status, execution, and escalation using EVMS/CAM standard toolsets.
• Drive clear status and issue communications between Technical leaders, Project Engineers, and Program Management. Demonstrate good executive presence.
• Address blockers uncovered during development, testing, production, and delivery, coordinating necessary support.
• Facilitate solutions and agreements across teams.
• Lead HW/SW quotation estimate efforts and approvals.
• Optimize the team through procedural improvements and automation.
• Champion project‑specific operating systems and consider broader multi‑product or multi‑project reuse.
• Mentor junior engineers.

• Knowledge of aerospace/avionics products and support within PBA hardware‑based projects.
• Significant experience in engineering, especially in Avionics Platform/Hardware/Software processes and practices.
• Experience with global workforce and virtual teaming.
• Familiarity with hardware design, testing, procurement/production, and certification.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with other engineering organizations and contract manufacturers.
• Prior experience as a people manager.
• Ability to drive whole‑team engagement and completion.
• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills in diverse teams.
• Trusted advisor relationship with customers.
• Influence others to accept new concepts, practices, and deploy new approaches.
• Business acumen: knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to aerospace and the larger industry.
