We are seeking a highly skilled Low‑Voltage & Telecommunications Infrastructure Engineer to lead the architecture, deployment, and long‑term management of critical telecommunications and security networks. This role is responsible for the “digital nervous system” of our manufacturing complex, ensuring seamless data flow, robust wireless coverage, and the integration of advanced site security systems. Based initially in the Tempe and Peoria, AZ area during the infrastructure and commissioning phase, you will transition into a permanent leadership role as our flagship Peoria facility moves into full‑scale factory operations.
Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Design & Implementation Connectivity Architecture:
Design and deploy high‑speed telecommunications infrastructure, including structured copper cabling, high‑density fiber optics, and enterprise wireless systems. - System Integration Coordinate the installation of voice and data networks to ensure they are perfectly synchronized with facility‑wide operations.
- Technical Validation Review and authorize technical blueprints, wiring schematics, and equipment specifications for all low‑voltage systems.
- Security & Network Integration Surveillance & Access:
Design and oversee the installation of physical security hardware, including high‑definition CCTV arrays, biometric access control points, and digital intercoms. - Network Convergence Partner with IT and Security teams to integrate physical security hardware into the network infrastructure for real‑time monitoring and control.
- Future‑Proofing Evaluate emerging network technologies and recommend hardware upgrades to maintain peak reliability and data throughput.
- Operational Stewardship Preventive Maintenance:
Monitor system health and execute rigorous maintenance programs to prevent downtime in critical production environments. - Lifecycle Support Collaborate with construction teams and IT vendors during the facility build‑out, expansion, and commissioning phases.
- Documentation Maintain precise records of telecom layouts, configuration maps, and equipment inventories for audit readiness.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field. - Professional
Experience:
3 years in telecommunication system design and maintenance, specifically within industrial, manufacturing, or large‑scale commercial environments. - Technical Mastery:
Deep knowledge of structured cabling standards, fiber optic splicing/testing, VoIP systems, and industrial wireless protocols. - Software Toolkit:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office for managing complex site drawings. - Physical & Operational Readiness:
Field Capability: ability to climb ladders, work at elevation, navigate confined spaces, and work in varied weather conditions with appropriate PPE;
Medical Fitness: must be medically qualified to wear a respirator and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. - Professional Credentials: A Professional Engineering (PE) license is a significant advantage.
- Location & Mobility:
Ability to work onsite at Tempe and Peoria locations, with hybrid flexibility available as the project matures.
