SummaryThe Structural Engineer II will analyze existing and design new structures (including Telecommunication Towers and Water Tanks). The candidate will also be responsible for providing quality control review of engineering services performed by other engineers.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field required;
Master’s degree preferred - Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred
- 2+ years of Structural Engineering experience specific to Telecommunication
- Building design experience with steel, concrete, wood, and masonry preferred
- Proficiency with structural analysis software preferred

- Self‑motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve high-quality solutions
- Ability to work with functional groups and employees at all levels to achieve business results professionally
- Proficient with computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Knowledge of AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC, and state building codes
- Knowledge of CAD software
This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may require being in charge of projects and reviewing other engineers’ work depending on certification level.
Essential Functions- Review building structures for compliance with current standards and building codes
- Work with existing processes to correctly open analysis projects
- Design modifications to existing structures
- Work with designer staff on the development of modification drawings
- Generate required engineering reports
- Review QA and final review of structural analysis reports and designs
- Answer structure-related inquiries from internal and external customers
- Keep abreast of new technical methods and developments related to structural engineering
- Provide assistance on unusual problems
This role is largely sedentary but requires lifting files and occasionally standing, walking, and reaching. Maximum lifting force up to 35 pounds.
Work EnvironmentPrimarily climate-controlled internal office environment; less than 5% of work performed on external sites.
