POSITION CHARTER
Planning of new water treatment plant (Pure water, Ultra-pure water, Reclaim water, Wastewater)
POSITION PROFILE
Labor Grade:
Full-time / Non-exempt
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Process Engineer reports to the Planning/Design manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Remodeling and extension planning of existing plants.
- Creating block flow sheets, water balances, P&I
D. - Creating operation diagrams, Level control drawing.
- Creating planning specifications.
- Calculations (tank capacity, piping pressure loss, RO, chemical consumption, etc.).
- Cost estimation (initial cost, operation cost).
- Preparation of purchase specifications for equipment and instruments.
- Preparing and delivering client presentations and proposals.
- Selecting equipment and instruments, creating equipment/instrument list.
- Site surveys, customer visits.
- Support FAT/Plant completion inspection.
- Occasional domestic and international travel (10%).
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, Process, Environmental, Biological Engineering, or related fields (The major listed is not a prerequisite, but college graduation is required).
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Academic knowledge and interest in water treatment and the water environment.
- Understanding of industrial standards, materials, P&I D, piping diagrams, hydraulic calculations, pump and valve selection, as well as familiarity with creating process documents and drawings, is required.
- Experience with ASME/ANSI/OSHA/UL standards.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools. (Auto CAD)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
- Experience as a process engineer at a water treatment consulting engineering firm, or a water treatment technology provider.
- Prefer candidates with new graduates or 1-3 years of EPC project experience in Process, Test & Commissioning positions across various industries, including water treatment.
- Proficiency in Japanese/Taiwanese/Vietnamese language is plus.
- Proficiency with Auto CAD 2D & 3D, Plant 3D, or Cad works Plant is plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to ascend and descend a 30 ft cage ladder.
