If you are an engineer with strong technical and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment with abundant learning opportunities, you are the ideal candidate for this role.

You will be responsible for designing and/or integrating IP for a discrete graphics SoC. Your tasks will include architecture, design, implementation, formal verification, emulation, and validation of discrete graphics SoC products, including:

  • Creating designs to improve product KPIs for discrete graphics products
  • Collaborating with SoC and platform architecture teams to establish silicon requirements
  • Making design trade-offs considering risk, area, power, performance, validation complexity, and schedule
  • Creating micro-architectural specifications
  • Working with external vendors on tools or IPs for micro-architecture development and silicon qualification
  • Driving vendor methodology to meet silicon design standards
  • Designing area and power-efficient low-latency architectures with scalability and flexibility
  • Implementing RTL logic design with power and area efficiency and supporting DV
  • Using tools to ensure lint-free and CDC/RDC clean designs
  • Managing synthesis, timing constraints, and achieving first-pass silicon tape-outs
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA emulation, silicon bring-up, characterization, and debugging
  • Collaborating across teams and vendors to resolve architectural and implementation challenges
  • Communicating effectively in verbal and written forms
  • Understanding Verilog and System Verilog, synthesizable RTL, and modern design techniques
  • Knowledge of low-power design, power analysis, power estimation, and modeling
  • Background in computer architecture, bus fabric (APB/AHB/AXI), power management, and related tools
  • Understanding of key SoC design elements like arbiters, async FIFOs, DMAs, and controllers
  • Proven track record of bringing logic designs into high-volume production
  • Ability to work well in teams, be self-motivated, and organized

Qualifications include a BS degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience. This is an experienced hire position based in the US, with locations in California, Arizona, and Oregon.

The role is part of Intel's Client Computing Group, focusing on PC products and platforms, aiming to deliver innovative and purposeful computing experiences.

We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and a total package including health, retirement, and stock options. The annual salary range is $214,730 to $303,140, depending on location and experience.
