Location: Onsite - Phoenix, AZ Area
Schedule: Willingness to work a compressed schedule (3 on – 3 off, 4 on – 4 off, 12-hour shifts).
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a UPW Operating Technician to support our clients – global leaders in water treatment technology. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your technical skills while working with industry experts dedicated to preserving one of our planet’s most critical resources: water.
As part of our client teams, you’ll collaborate with engineers, management, and operators to ensure the continuous supply of ultrapure water through advanced water treatment systems. This role offers the chance to grow your career while contributing to a sustainable future.
Responsibilities- Work closely with client Engineers, Management, and Teams.
- Utilize quality systems and diagnose process issues related to Reverse Osmosis, Filtration, Ion Exchange, Ultra‑Violet Oxidation, etc.
- Conduct inspections to verify equipment integrity and ensure continuous UPW supply.
- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Execute media replacement and flushing activities to achieve final UPW quality specifications.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair complex equipment.
- Ensure adherence to safe working practices and site Health & Safety regulations at all times.
- Technical associate degree or equivalent education/military experience.
- Strong knowledge of continuous process systems.
- Relevant background in System Operations, Maintenance, or Service.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and apply problem‑solving skills.
- Flexibility to prioritize a busy workload and adapt to changing conditions.
- Willingness to work a compressed schedule (3 on – 3 off, 4 on – 4 off, 12-hour shifts).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Hands‑on technical experience with capacity to make sound decisions.
- Must be a U.S. Worker (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, Lawful Permanent Resident, or granted Refugee/Asylum status). Sponsorship is not available.
