OverviewKimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand our Building Structures practice in Phoenix, AZ!
Responsibilities- Support the growth of the firm in heavy civil, facilities infrastructure, and/or building structures practices
- Develop and maintain good relationships with coworkers, industry peers, and clients
- Perform and review structural design calculations, prepare project document submittal packages, and maintain Quality Control
- Conduct site investigations and structural evaluations, document field observations, and prepare technical reports
- Participate in meetings and presentations with clients, owners, contractors, and design team members
- Identify project opportunities through networking with clients
- Lead and grow a structural practice with integrity and strategic planning
- Manage projects profitably, mentor staff, and transition work effectively
- Enjoy autonomy with potential rewards including bonuses and ownership opportunities
- 8+ years of diversified structural engineering experience
- PE license
- Experience in structural design and planning for various structures
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and structural analysis software like STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT
- Strong communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Ability to manage staff, projects, and client relationships effectively
- Experience in proposal writing, scope of work, and budgeting
