Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer

Lead Hardware Testing in Aerospace – Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer (Onsite) PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer to support a critical aerospace manufacturing program. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role focused on the design, development, and implementation of hardware testing strategies for avionics systems.

As a Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing test strategies, performing stress and performance tests, and supporting hardware validation efforts. You’ll work onsite with a collaborative team and report directly to engineering leadership. This role requires strong technical judgment, creativity, and the ability to lead and direct others.

• Analyze and support the design, development, and implementation of hardware for avionics products
• Develop test strategies, devices, and systems for circuit boards, processors, and wiring
• Perform stress and performance testing to ensure product reliability
• Lead and direct tasks as needed, applying creativity and technical expertise
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and report findings to management

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 4-6 years of experience in hardware testing or a related area
• Familiarity with industry‑standard concepts, practices, and procedures
• Strong judgment and experience in planning and executing goals
• Ability to work onsite full‑time

Preferred

Skills:

• Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
• Strong background in system‑level testing and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in Python, C, Lab Windows CVI, and LabVIEW
• Familiarity with RF equipment and test instruments
• Knowledge of DO‑160, DO‑178, DO‑254 certification processes
• Experience with embedded operating systems
• Ability to develop code from schematics and build rack stack ATE systems
