Your Opportunity

We are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical/Piping Designer for our Integrated Design team. You will work on Energy & Resource projects across North America and globally, focusing on technical growth and design excellence with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply design skills to prepare or coordinate contract drawings, sketches, and concept designs through to construction.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical group members, other Stantec disciplines, and clients to achieve project success.
  • Execute assignments on project design teams and communicate effectively within the team.
  • Provide technical expertise, mentoring, and support to Junior team members.
  • Prepare drawings using AutoCAD, Plant3D, Cadworx, Inventor, Solidworks, Revit, Aveva

    E3D, Micro Station, etc.
  • Model and design piping and mechanical systems; prepare isometric drawings.
  • Collect and verify data at client facilities; interpret field drawings.
Your Capabilities And Credentials
  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial consulting.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
  • Strong collaborative, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Commitment to Stantec’s Employee Health and Safety program.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Adaptability to evolving technology and project assignments.
Education And Experience
  • Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in a related field.
  • At least 5 years of design experience.
Pay Range
  • MN, OH, VT & various CA, NY – Min $77,300 – Max $112,100
  • CO, HI, IL, MD & various CA, NJ – Min $85,000 – Max $123,300
  • WA, DC & various CA, MA – Min $91,200 – Max $132,300
Benefits Summary

Full‑time and part‑time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, and paid family leave. Ten paid holidays and vacation accrual between 10–20 days per year are provided. Additional benefits may apply to union positions.
