Position: Geologist 3

We are seeking a jr./mid-level Geologist to join our Phoenix Arizona team to support a variety of environmental investigation and remediation projects. Driver's License Requirements: An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support field programs at contaminated and Superfund sites, including oversight of drilling, monitoring well installation, and sampling of groundwater, surface water, sediment, and soils.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute complex field programs, including subcontractor management and junior staff direction.
  • Conduct hydrogeologic investigations, and geophysical and geotechnical testing.
  • Prepare and review work plans, technical reports, and supporting documentation for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform data interpretation, analysis, and reporting for environmental characterization and remediation projects.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and quality protocols.
  • Manage tasks for large projects or phases of smaller projects, developing both project management and client relationship skills.
  • Mentor junior staff and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline.
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous field experience supporting environmental investigation and remediation programs.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage work plans, budgets, and subcontractor relationships.
  • Strong skills in environmental data evaluation and technical writing.
  • Geology registration (P.G.) or progress toward registration.
  • Experience with GIS or CADD software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Previous task management or project management experience.
  • Willingness to travel (day and overnight) as required by project needs. Expected travel is 50-70%.
  • Ability to lift and carry field equipment and samples.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Skills and Abilities

Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Solid knowledge of scientific methods and processes. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
