Responsibilities:
- Promote and ensure adherence to safety protocols across all project phases, fostering a strong safety culture within the team and on project sites.
- Review RFPs and prepare detailed, competitive proposals for service-based projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and organizational capabilities.
- Lead conceptual design and procurement phases for substation projects, including high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), low-voltage (LV), underground, and overhead transmission lines.
- Manage the entire project lifecycle, including scheduling, budgeting, scope definition, and change management, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Act as the primary interface between clients, external stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication, alignment of expectations, and resolution of issues.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the project execution process, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, providing mentorship and fostering collaboration to achieve project goals.
- Track and report project progress regularly, identifying and addressing deviations from planned timelines, budgets, or scope.
- Participate in fieldwork and on-site inspections, ensuring project execution aligns with design plans and addressing any on-site challenges promptly.
- Handle a diverse range of projects within the electric grid sector, including innovative and proven technologies, with potential involvement in distribution networks, private systems, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of industry experience in high-voltage, medium-voltage, and low-voltage substations.
- Experience in multiple phases of project execution, including design, procurement, and construction.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Professional licensure such as PE, P.Eng, or an equivalent certification.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and best practices in the electric grid and energy sector.
- Capability to complete pre-employment requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle records reviews.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to dynamic environments.
