This position will be based in Phoenix, AZ, and is headquartered in Wendell, NC.

The EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products including photovoltaic inverters, medium‑voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation.

• Experience with power distribution system equipment – low and medium (480V–38kV)
• Extensive experience in protection and control in an industrial and/or utilities focused environment; develop test plans for complex relay systems and successfully test and troubleshoot those systems. Experience with different manufacturers relays including SEL, Siemens SIPROTEC, and GE Multilin is a plus.
• Ability to develop switching procedures, Methods of Procedure (MOP’s), and advise on electrical safety matters related to scheduled and unscheduled work.
• Installation, testing, commissioning, and start‑up of LV and MV equipment; troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and consulting as needed.
• Flexibility on location; travel up to 80% nationally.
• Support Greenfield & Brownfield unit installations and commissioning activities throughout Siemens/USA.
• Position may be hired at a lower level than posted if the candidate’s experience warrants.

• High school or GED minimum.
• 10+ years of experience with power distribution systems and low/medium voltage switch gear, including protection and automation commissioning and troubleshooting of relay systems such as SEL, Siemens SIPROTEC, and GE Multilin.
• 10+ years of experience troubleshooting & repair of electrical control circuits, including breakers or high voltage equipment testing, analyzing test results, and equipment condition assessment.
• Available to respond for emergency and relief assignments.
• Familiar with OSHA safety practices and able to perform duties within specified guidelines.
• Based remotely within the Phoenix, Arizona area.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and at least 21 years of age for the Siemens vehicle plan.
• Legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years field service experience commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with protection and control relays.
• Experience with project management software.
• Experience with high voltage circuit breakers.
• Knowledge and/or experience with SF6 gas circuit breakers.
• MSHA 46/48, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E certification.
• TWIC card.
• NETA/NICET certification.

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
