Hazelwood Engineering specializes in custom home, multi-family, retail and industrial building design serving builders and architects in Utah, Arizona, and Colorado. We work to do things better. For ourselves. For our employees. For our clients. We are seeking a self-driven and ambitious Structural Project Engineer ready to learn and grow. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with wood, concrete, and steel structures ranging from residential additions to multi-family structures and industrial warehouses.

You will have the opportunity to work on projects in all phases of the design process, from schematic design to construction administration. Given our small office and continual growth, you will have opportunities to grow quickly.

• Participate in comprehensive training and development program
• Model buildings and produce structural drawings in Revit
• Perform structural analysis, design and detailing of wood, concrete, and steel structures under the supervision of senior engineers
• Think independently and contribute cooperatively:
  Be exploratory in coming up with solutions and contribute as a part of a team with a larger goal
• Execute tasks as directed by project manager
• Positively contribute to company culture
• Provide construction administration services including shop drawing/RFI review
• Monitor project budgets and communicate with managers about scheduling

• Must have a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master of Science is preferred)
• 3-5 years experience in Structural Engineering (Required)
• Knowledge of Excel and Revit (desired but not required…we can train you)
• Capability to work in a team environment, supporting the success of both coworkers and clients
• Goal-oriented with a desire to grow
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of engineering for wood buildings
