Business Development Officer
Originate SBA 7(a) and 504 loans; meet or exceed annual goals. Source clients through internal leads and your network. Analyze financials, assess eligibility, and structure loan requests. Prepare loan memos and present within credit policy requirements. Guide clients through the full loan process and collect required documentation. Partner with internal Relationship Managers to expand banking relationships. Cross‑sell deposit, treasury, and other business banking services.
Participate in local networking and SBA events to build visibility and referrals. Ensure compliance with lending regulations and training requirements.
- Deep understanding of SBA programs and policies
- Excellent communication, financial analysis, and relationship‑building skills
- Self‑motivated, team‑oriented, tech‑savvy
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, cash flow, ratios, and industry trends
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Prior relationship management and strong sales experience required
- Direct experience with SBA 7(a) and/or 504 loan programs required
