Position Overview:As a Tax Senior
, you will be responsible for managing multiple tax engagements for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, supervise junior staff, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. - Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciaries.
- Conduct tax research and provide well‑documented conclusions and recommendations.
- Assist in tax planning strategies for high‑net‑worth individuals and business entities.
- Lead client engagements, communicate directly with clients, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Review work prepared by associates and provide mentorship and feedback.
- Monitor engagement budgets and billing.
- Stay up‑to‑date with changes in tax laws and regulations relevant to Arizona and federal taxation.
- Participate in internal training and contribute to process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus).
- CPA license preferred
- 3+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting.
- Proficient in tax preparation and research software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Ultra Tax, Pro System fx, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, especially Arizona tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
