DIRECTOR OF ASSET MANAGEMENT

Phoenix — RRA Capital is a private equity real estate firm redefining the norms of credit and structured finance. Backed by 115+ years of combined leadership experience and a team built for agility, depth, and discipline, we’re reimagining how private capital intersects with commercial real estate—and how exceptional teams drive meaningful outcomes for investors.

As we double down on our mission to uncover value where others overlook it, we’re looking for a Director of Asset Management to elevate investment performance, lead portfolio oversight, strengthen borrower relationships, and accelerate smarter, faster decision-making across the full investment life cycle—from active monitoring of performing loans to hands-on management and disposition of non-performing or REO assets.

Roles And Responsibilities

Portfolio Oversight & Loan Management

  • Directly manage the firm’s diversified, multi-geography portfolio of bridge loans typical of institutional middle-market lending, across a broad range of property types and investment profiles.
  • Oversee loan- and asset-level performance, ensuring borrower compliance, timely execution of business plans, and strict adherence to loan covenants.
  • Proactively identify early signs of underperformance and lead resolution strategies, including loan modifications, restructurings, and enforcement actions as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with a range of third-party service providers—including property managers, receivers, brokers, and legal counsel—to support asset performance and recovery.
  • Maintain robust internal reporting and dashboard tools, tracking asset-level KPIs and risk metrics to inform decision-making and performance reviews.
  • Work cross-functionally with investment, legal, capital markets, loan servicing, accounting, and operations teams to drive alignment across the full loan lifecycle—from origination to resolution.
Strategic Support to the CIO
  • Serve as a key partner to the CIO by delivering real-time intelligence on asset performance, portfolio-level trends, and evolving credit exposures.
  • Translate insights from asset-level performance into underwriting feedback loops that strengthen portfolio construction and investment decision-making.
  • Contribute meaningfully to investment committee discussions by bringing a risk-management mindset rooted in hands-on asset and borrower experience.
  • Collaborate on pipeline strategy, borrower due diligence, and transaction structuring—ensuring that each deal aligns with RRA’s risk-return objectives.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
  • 8+ years of real estate asset management experience, with a strong foundation on the equity side—preferably involving business plan execution, operations oversight, and value creation strategies.
  • Credit-side experience is a significant plus, especially in loan structuring, performance monitoring, and resolution of bridge or transitional loans.
  • A deep, practical understanding of the full life cycle and operational intricacies of both multifamily and commercial real estate—from lease-up and repositioning to stabilization and exit.
  • Familiarity with credit portfolio management frameworks and loan performance analytics, including the ability to spot early warning signs and shape strategic responses.
  • Advanced financial modeling and reporting skills, with fluency in Excel and commonly used asset management systems;
    Argus experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities, combined with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A desire to work and live in Arizona, and to make a meaningful impact as part of a highly collaborative, performance-driven team.
Compensation

  • Competitive base salary and performance-based bonus structure, commensurate with experience.
Benefits

  • Unlimited vacation policy
  • Medical insurance
  • Company 401(k) plan with…
