Job SummaryThe Portfolio Manager provides relationship management support for an assigned portfolio of clients who are primarily active commercial real estate owners, investors, and developers. Portfolio Managers work in partnership with Relationship Managers to deliver comprehensive financial advice and solutions that enable clients to meet their financial objectives and fully leverage Key's product platform. They contribute to the team's revenue and risk management goals through activities such as credit monitoring, file maintenance, covenant compliance verification, business development, lending/sales support, and operational support.
EssentialFunctions
- Proactively manage the portfolio to maximize profitability while maintaining strong asset quality through consistent identification and resolution of issues and accurate risk rating assignments.
- Assist in structuring and facilitating credit and non‑credit product delivery, demonstrating sound risk management and maximizing risk‑adjusted returns on shareholder capital.
- Support Key’s asset generation strategy and participate in call preparation for consultative relationship deepening, onboarding new relationships, and exiting unprofitable ones.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects, establishing credibility with internal and external stakeholders and providing constructive feedback.
- Partner with Credit, Product Partners, Closers, Servicing, technical services, and other departments to identify cross‑sell opportunities and deepen client relationships.
- Provide analysis of business and personal financial statements to inform deal structures, pricing, and terms.
- Deliver timely and accurate completion of write‑ups, loan recommendations, and structuring analyses.
- Analyze and underwrite construction and interim loans in accordance with Key Corp credit policy.
- Coordinate annual reviews, loan renewals, quarterly portfolio reviews, and asset quality reports, managing past‑due items and covenant compliance.
- Participate in community and professional organizations to enhance expertise and profile.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all Key Bank policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
- OR equivalent experience (required).
- 1+ years of finance‑related experience (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in MS Office suite, spreadsheets, Internet applications, and common business software (preferred).
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal (preferred).
- Outstanding credit, analytical, and financial acumen.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Analytical approach to identifying issues, evaluating options, and implementing effective solutions.
- Rapidly absorbs new information and adapts to evolving tools, processes, and priorities.
- Effective time management across a broad range of activities.
- Timely and informed decision‑making balancing data insights, stakeholder input, and business impact.
- Prioritization of stakeholder needs to enhance user experience and business value.
- Leverages quantitative analysis and performance metrics to guide strategic portfolio recommendations.

- General office work, prolonged sitting, face‑to‑face communication or phone calls, frequent PC/laptop use, occasional lifting or pushing of backpacks or computer bags up to 10 lbs.

Base salary range: $79,000.00 – $ annually. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Eligible for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
