Our client, a private equity backed organization experiencing expansive growth is disrupting those snack brands that sell through eComm, D2C, and big box channels. The company is grateful because of this growth they are able to provide this CFO opportunity for a right Executive in this significant leadership position.

Position Synopsis

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is a hands‑on opportunity to unify disparate financial operations and drive significant EBITDA expansion at this Private Equity backed portfolio company. The CFO will be responsible for transforming the entire financial infrastructure to deliver reliable, quick, and accurate insights essential for high‑growth and PE ownership.

Job Duties

• As a trusted partner to the CEO, develop and refine this company’s strategic goals while empowering your departments, co‑lead board presentations, derive data‑driven decisions, and strive for operational excellence.
• Transform the entire financial infrastructure to deliver reliable, quick, and accurate insights essential for high-growth and Private Equity ownership.
• Manage the company’s trade spend and partner closely with the Sales team to optimize spend using tools like Infor, High Radius, Visualfabriq, Confido, and Vividly.
• Provide financial oversight and capital expenditure (Cap Ex) analysis for a business model utilizing both outsourced co‑manufacturers and in‑house manufacturing.
• Oversee all financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury, and accounting operations, ensuring standard cost accounting and general ledger accuracy.
• Strengthen internal controls and implement automation to establish robust, repeatable processes that ensure the attainment of "just‑in‑time" data.
• Directly manage and mentor the finance team, including the Senior Director of FP&A, Controller, and Senior Cost Accountant, fostering a culture of professional development.
• Clean up historical financials and accounting setups to ensure high‑fidelity data is available for strategic decision‑making and eventual exit readiness.
• Co‑lead board presentations and engage the audit committee in developing short‑term and strategic planning aligned with the company's growth credo.
• Coordinate across multiple departments to review internal processes and implement strategic changes that improve reporting efficiency and visibility.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational drivers to enhance visibility into the performance of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
• Lead system integration of historical financial and accounting practices across the business, improve standard close procedures, and migrate legacy ERP to Net Suite.

Qualifications:

• A successful CFO or senior financial leader with experience in PE‑backed, Food, Beverage, Snacks, Nutraceutical, or other dynamic consumer businesses selling to Big Box Retailers.
• Use of collaborative and facilitative approach and the flexibility to work with a broad range of cultures, personalities, and work styles.
• Past experience in building highly efficient teams and bringing automation to finance departments.
• Budgeting/Planning/Analytic Tool Environment experience such as Vena, Adaptive Insights, Host Analytics, One Stream, HFM, Alteryx, Tableau, or Anaplan is a plus.
• If you have been successful working in a cloud‑based ERP environment such as Acumatica, MS Dynamics 365, Net Suite, Oracle Fusion, SAP Cloud, or Intacct, that is also a plus.
