JCW is partnering with a leading asset manager that’s looking to add an Assistant Controller to its finance organization in Phoenix. This is a key role for an experienced accounting leader who enjoys driving accuracy, scalability, and process improvements across a complex investment portfolio.
What You’ll Do- Oversee portfolio accounting, loan activity, and investment reporting
- Lead process optimization and technology-enabled enhancements
- Support month-end close, financial reporting, and audit materials
- Partner cross-functionally on analytics, valuations, and portfolio insights
- Mentor and develop a growing team
- CPA with 8+ years of experience (public accounting + industry)
- Background in financial services, private credit, asset management, or BDC environments
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and portfolio accounting
- Tech-forward mindset with experience improving systems and workflows
- High integrity, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
