Position OverviewInvestment Sales Analyst –
Phoenix, AZ office. The Analyst will tour properties, interpret financial and physical information, and develop marketing strategies and client materials. The role requires independent work, cohesive teamwork, extended hours when needed, and a passion for commercial real estate.
- Underwrite income‑producing assets using Excel, including analysis of operating statements, budgets, leases, and loan agreements.
- Review, analyze, abstract, and interpret various real estate documents and identify critical financial issues.
- Recommend value‑add opportunities and develop sensitivity analyses.
- Create compelling narratives to showcase investment opportunities to industry professionals.
- Strategize with team members, providing materials that generate new relationships and track research data.
- Present results in formal client settings to audiences with diverse financial acumen.
- Stay informed on market trends to enhance valuation accuracy and marketing strategies.
- Communicate with capital markets professionals, property managers, asset managers, and principals to clarify underwriting inconsistencies and address property‑specific issues.
- Four‑year college degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or a related business area.
- Minimum 1‑2 years of relevant experience; CRE internship experience is considered.
- Strong analytical skills in real estate underwriting, including discounted cash flow, IRR, NPV, and time‑value of money.
- Experience valuing income‑producing properties is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail orientation, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple assignments with changing priorities.
- Team player, strong work ethic, and passion for the commercial real estate industry.
- Work sample may be required.
