KYC Review Analyst Senior – Ops

City National Bank is seeking an experienced KYC Review Analyst Senior – Ops in Phoenix, AZ. The analyst conducts Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) background investigations for commercial loan borrowers, reviews client relationships for compliance risk, and maintains the integrity of the Know Your Client (KYC) program. The role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of BSA/AML regulations.

• Conduct periodic reviews of client profiles to determine compliance risk and update risk levels.
• Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for commercial loan borrowers and prospect reviews using internal systems and external research tools.
• Verify completion of KYC and Anticipated Activity questions for new business and individual accounts.
• Review and clear potential negative news alerts on new clients and during periodic client reviews; escalates true matches.
• Escalate restricted or prohibited activity with
  
  B policy for BSA investigation.
• Assist with training of new hires and conduct quality control review of junior analyst reviews.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and perform timely investigations with well‑reasoned decision‑making.

• Required:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in banking services, branch operations, risk management or related function and three years’ of BSA/AML experience.
• 2+ years’ experience using Microsoft Office.
• Additional:
  Analytical skills, solid understanding of deposit and loan transactions, use of good judgment, attention to detail, internet savvy, good knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Acts, great communication and writing skills.

Starting base salary: $71,869 – $114,797 per year. The position is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
