Director of Acquisitions | Talent, M&A, Special ProjectsManage $10B+ AUM. Learn from an Ex-PIMCO CIO. Build the Engine.
Most Portfolio Manager roles are maintenance jobs. You monitor established models, execute rebalances, and stay in the background. At Foundations Investment Advisors, you aren't just maintaining the machine; you are building the engine for one of the fastest-growing RIAs in the nation.
The Value Proposition- Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Performance-Based Discretionary Bonus + Exceptional benefits/PTO/401(k) Match/etc.
- Mentorship: Work directly under our CIO (formerly of PIMCO) and an elite investment committee.
- Impact: Direct influence on $10+ billion in assets (and rapidly growing).
- Culture: In-office collaboration in Phoenix, AZ, with a team that celebrates wins (complimentary lunches, social events, recognition parties, trips and events, etc).
The Opportunity We are an SEC-registered RIA serving the mass affluent, rapidly approaching the $10B AUM mark. We need a Portfolio Manager who is tired of stagnation and ready for institutional scale. In this role, you will not be siloed. You will design and implement multi‑asset class portfolios, conduct deep‑drop market research, and—crucially—translate complex strategies into actionable insights for our network of independent advisors.
This is a "high‑visibility" seat. You will leverage top‑tier tech (Orion, Riskalyze) to optimize risk‑adjusted returns while helping us professionalize our investment operations during a period of hyper‑growth. If you are an analytical powerhouse who can also communicate strategy to non‑analysts, this is your platform.
The Ideal Candidate
:
You are a student of the markets with at least 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience in portfolio construction. You understand modern portfolio theory, but you also understand the real world of client goals and fiduciary responsibility. You are likely a CFA charter holder (or Level III candidate) who wants to move from "running numbers" to "running strategy." You want to be part of a firm where your analysis directly impacts thousands of retirements.
Qualifications (Required)
- Experience: 5‑7 years in investment management, portfolio construction, or asset allocation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics (MBA/CFA strongly preferred).
- Technical: Proficiency with trading platforms, financial modeling, and research tools (e.g., Orion, Bloomberg, Morningstar).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of multi‑asset class investing (Equities, Fixed Income, Alts) and SEC regulatory compliance.
Next Steps We are hiring for excellence, not just to fill a seat. If you are ready to manage billions, you can apply now to schedule a confidential conversation about your future.
