FP&A Manager – Operations Business Partner
We’re partnering with a long-standing manufacturing client that’s seeking a Finance Manager, Operations Business Partner to support their Phoenix, AZ production site. This is a high-impact role within the FP&A organization, responsible for connecting financial strategy to operational execution across production, labor, and plant performance.
You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to Operations leadership – helping interpret performance metrics, identify process improvements, and bring business acumen and culture-building to one of the company’s key manufacturing sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Partner directly with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A leadership to analyze plant performance and drive financial visibility.
- Lead labor and production reporting, including standard vs. actual variance analysis, efficiency metrics, and cost optimization.
- Evaluate plant utilization, labor efficiency, and production KPIs to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support the monthly FP&A cycle — forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Develop and automate reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, ERP dashboards) to streamline site-level financial insights.
- Collaborate with Operations leadership to optimize labor allocation, overhead absorption, and production output.
- Provide actionable financial recommendations to improve operational decision-making.
- Play an active role in culture integration and process transformation as the organization evolves its plant-level and corporate alignment.
- 5+ years of FP&A experience with a focus on operations, manufacturing, or production finance.
- Hands‑on experience with labor reporting, production cost analysis, and standard vs. actual costing.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing efficiency metrics (yield, throughput, labor productivity, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to partner with plant and operations leadership to drive financial and process improvements.
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems and Power BI or similar visualization tools preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills — able to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
- Team‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast‑paced, evolving manufacturing environment.
- 401(k) with company match, fully vested from day one
- Flexible PTO (unlimited vacation policy)
- Hybrid schedule:
Work remotely 3 days every 2 weeks (your choice of mix) - Visible and influential role supporting both plant operations and senior leadership
- Be part of a collaborative, evolving culture that values efficiency, accountability, and teamwork
- Office is one of the company’s newer sites—bright, modern, and connected to the plant floor for visibility and engagement
