Senior Tax Associate

As the
Senior Tax Specialist
at DBMG, you'll provide expert knowledge and support to our accounting department performing a range of tax activities including federal, state, and foreign tax provisions and compliance, indirect tax, collaboration and support of internal business partners, M&A, with a keen eye to improving and implementing new tax strategies and/or policies to assist in company maintenance and compliance with all tax jurisdictions.

This is a hybrid position located at our DBMG Headquarters office in Phoenix, AZ (Camelback rd.). #LI-Hybrid #LI-KF1

• Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings Annual state income tax compliance including preparation of quarterly estimated state tax payments & extensions; liaise with external advisors
• Assist with international tax provisions, tax returns, & statutory financial statements coordinating with Australia tax & accounting group.
• Prepare interim and annual tax work papers in accordance with ASC 740 Assist with information requests for federal, state, international, and local tax audits.
• Effectively communicate and resolve all federal, state, and local inquiries.
• Collaborate with business partners to advise on transactions including sales tax implications at project bid.
• Assist with sales tax process implementation for subsidiaries.
• Assist with tax diligence and purchase accounting for acquisitions.
• Remain current on new tax legislation and tax accounting rules.
• Support tax team for several activities, such as restructuring, tax planning, and M&A.

Education/Training:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance. Master's degree in Tax or CPA Certification is highly desirable
• Construction industry experience is preferred

Skills & Experience:

• Three to Five (3-5) YOE in a senior taxor public accounting role
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Federal, state, and local reporting requirements
• Experience with ASC 740
• Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
• Proven ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks
• Experienced collaboration and communication with stakeholders related to benefits of tax initiatives
• Prior exposure to working in fast-paced environments while successfully maintaining multiple on-going projects and tight deadlines
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Tax Research tools Tax Research tools such as One Source Tax Provision or similar programs

• Hybrid work schedule days determined available upon completion of on-site training, assigned in-office working days and schedule will be determined between employee and manager.
