Financial Reporting, Financial Compliance, Financial Manager, Financial Analyst
We are partnering with a growing organization in Phoenix to hire an FP&A Manager for a newly created role. This position is ideal for a forward-thinking finance professional who is passionate about automation, AI, process improvement, and using technology to transform how Finance operates.
This is not a traditional FP&A Manager opportunity focused solely on budgeting and forecasting. The successful candidate will be highly hands-on, identifying inefficient processes, implementing scalable solutions, improving reporting and analytics, and helping build a more technology-enabled finance function.
This could also be an excellent next step for a high-performing Senior Financial Analyst who has demonstrated strong leadership potential and has successfully led automation or process improvement initiatives.
This role will be initially onsite for a training and on-boarding period, transitioning to a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite / 2 days remote.
Responsibilities:
- Lead finance automation, AI, and process improvement initiatives
- Identify manual or inefficient workflows and develop scalable solutions
- Leverage technology to improve financial planning, reporting, analytics, and decision-making
- Automate recurring reporting and reduce manual data preparation
- Improve KPI reporting, dashboards, and management reporting
- Connect financial and operational data to create more efficient reporting processes
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled tools and other emerging technologies within Finance
- Enhance budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and profitability analysis
- Partner with business leaders to identify trends, opportunities, and operational improvements
- Lead strategic finance projects from concept through implementation and adoption
- Present financial insights and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders
- Mentor and develop team members as leadership responsibilities expand
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field
- Strong FP&A, finance, analytics, or operational finance experience
- Demonstrated experience with automation, AI, or finance process transformation
- Proven ability to identify efficiencies and improve financial processes and workflows
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex datasets
- Experience leading projects or initiatives through implementation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence change across departments and levels of an organization
- Comfortable operating as both a strategic partner and hands-on contributor
Preferred Experience:
- AI implementation or AI-enabled finance tools
- Power BI, SQL, Python, Power Query, Power Automate, Tableau, or similar technologies
- Large-scale automation or digital transformation initiatives
- Pricing, profitability, or pricing strategy
- ERP systems and complex data environments
- Prior management, mentoring, or team leadership experience
