Job SummaryPerforms work within the Division of Public Health Licensing Services, Bureau of Medical Facilities Licensing. Supports the issuance and maintenance of licenses to facilities and providers, conducts initial and annual recertification inspections, reviews quality systems, investigates complaints, and liaises with licensees and regulatory bodies.
Job Duties- Interpret and understand statutes, rules, and internal procedures for discipline.
- Conduct inspections and investigations to determine compliance with state regulation.
- Prepare detailed investigation and inspection reports.
- Participate in staff meetings, advisory committees, and stakeholder organizations.
- Provide technical assistance, interact with other department offices, and perform miscellaneous services as required.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
- Arizona Administrative Code and Arizona Revised Statutes related to licensed facilities and providers.
- Facility management and operational concepts.
- Specialized procedures and procedures related to performance management, continuous quality improvement, and Lean methodologies.
- Reviewing and interpreting professional literature and regulations.
- High level of oral and written communication, analytical review, interpersonal relationships, active listening, organization, evaluation, and training.
- Change priorities as issues arise and solve problems (root cause analysis).
- Work independently.
- Perform reviews and analyze data for compliance reports.
- Support a diverse, multicultural workforce that reflects the community and fosters an inclusive environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with a professional license to practice in Arizona or evidence of reciprocity for out-of-state licenses (RN, Social Worker, Dietitian, Counselor, etc.).
Pre-Employment RequirementsRequired:
driver’s license and ability to travel statewide; valid level one fingerprint clearance card (or application within 7 working days).
Education:
Associate’s degree with relevant experience or regulatory agency experience. All newly hired employees must complete E‑Verify.
